The SQE and SOLICITORS QUALIFYING EXAMINATION trade marks belong to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. References to SQE identify the assessment for which Vivat Lex provides independent preparation materials. Vivat Lex is not affiliated with, approved, endorsed or accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Scope
This statement applies only to Vivat Lex Web, operated by Stanislav Lynnyk, a sole trader trading as Vivat Lex. It does not apply to the separate Vivat Lex iOS or Android products. Web, iOS and Android accounts, purchases, entitlements, progress and refunds are separate and do not transfer or synchronise.
Vivat Lex is an independent preparation provider. It is not the SRA, Kaplan SQE or Pearson VUE and does not administer or book the SQE. This statement concerns access to Vivat Lex Web; it does not govern official SQE assessment adjustments or test-centre arrangements.
Our accessibility objective and current status
The design and testing target for Vivat Lex Web is WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Vivat Lex does not claim formal full or partial conformance, accessibility certification or compatibility with a particular browser and assistive-technology combination unless the relevant production journey and version have been tested and the result is stated here.
The absence of a conformance claim does not remove our responsibility to identify barriers, consider reasonable adjustments and improve the service.
Design and test coverage
Our accessibility programme is intended to cover people who use:
- Keyboard-only navigation.
- Screen readers.
- Screen magnification and browser zoom.
- Speech or voice control.
- Switch or alternative input.
- Touch with assistive technology.
- High-contrast or forced-colour settings.
- Changed text spacing.
- Reduced-motion settings.
- Captions, transcripts or alternative formats.
- Adjusted timing where a learning interaction imposes a time limit.
This list describes intended coverage. It is not a claim of compatibility with every named product or version.
Complete customer journeys
Accessibility is assessed across complete processes, not only isolated pages or controls. Relevant journeys include:
- Public product and legal information.
- Account creation, sign-in, sign-out, recovery and session expiry.
- Country eligibility and error or review states.
- Checkout, payment-provider interfaces and issuer authentication when offered.
- Separate digital-content and service choices and durable confirmation.
- Payment success, failure, cancellation and delayed provisioning.
- Web entitlement and access expiry.
- Private learning content, questions, results and progress.
- Timed learning or examination-simulation features.
- Cancellation, refund, complaint, privacy and accessibility routes.
- Error, timeout, network failure, denial and recovery states.
A supplier's accessibility statement does not by itself prove the accessibility of the integrated Vivat Lex journey.
Reporting an accessibility problem
Please contact us if:
- You cannot access a page, control, form, document or learning activity.
- A keyboard or assistive technology cannot complete a task.
- Information is difficult to perceive or understand.
- Sign-in, payment, entitlement or cancellation creates a barrier.
- You need information in another format.
- You want us to consider another reasonable adjustment.

It helps to identify the page or task, what happened, the practical barrier, the format or adjustment that may help, urgency and your preferred response method. Device, browser and assistive-technology details are optional but may help us reproduce a technical problem.
You do not ordinarily need to provide a medical diagnosis or medical records to make an initial accessibility request. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card details or medical records by ordinary email.
Alternative formats and reasonable adjustments
Depending on the information and individual need, a reasonable alternative may include:
- Accessible HTML.
- Plain text or a structured editable document.
- Large print.
- A transcript or captioned version.
- An audio version.
- Assistance with an online process.
- Adjusted timing or an untimed study route.
- Another effective and reasonably practicable method.
A disabled customer will not be charged for a reasonable adjustment where applicable law prohibits that charge.
We consider the barrier, effectiveness, practical feasibility, available resources, urgency, disruption and alternative effective options. This is a fact-specific assessment; a generic statement about a supplier, cost or business size is not enough.
Response and review
We acknowledge and assess accessibility reports as soon as reasonably practicable. We prioritise barriers that prevent payment, sign-in, use of purchased content, cancellation or another time-sensitive task.
No fixed general response time is promised. Any operational target we communicate does not reduce statutory rights or legally applicable deadlines.
Where a permanent correction cannot be made promptly, we consider an effective interim route, explain the next step and keep the person reasonably informed.
You may ask us to reconsider an accessibility decision. Because Vivat Lex is operated by a sole trader, an internal reconsideration is not described as independent unless an independent decision-maker is genuinely provided.
Authentication and account access
For each sign-in method that is made available, we assess accessible labels, errors and status messages; keyboard, screen-reader, speech-input and mobile operation; pop-up or redirect focus recovery; cancellation, denial, account mismatch and recovery; copy and paste and password-manager support where relevant; accessible alternatives to cognitive-function tests; one-time-code entry, expiry and resend behaviour where relevant; and safe return to an interrupted task after reauthentication.
An assisted route uses proportionate identity verification and will never ask for your password or one-time code.
Payment and commercial journey
Where checkout is offered, the complete journey must make the following information perceivable, understandable, operable and robust:
- Vivat Lex Web as the product.
- £399 GBP price in pounds sterling, including any provider-calculated transaction tax, with the final amount, currency and tax breakdown shown by Managed Payments before payment.
- One payment with no subscription or automatic renewal.
- Access through 28 February 2027, ending at midnight at the end of 28 February 2027 (UK time).
- Web, iOS and Android product separation.
- Independent preparation and no exam guarantee.
- Separate immediate-service and digital-content choices.
- Payment, durable confirmation and entitlement as distinct states.
A customer must be able to review and correct order information, understand the final payment action, recover from cancellation or timeout, avoid duplicate payment and reach accessible support from every failure state.
Learning content and timed activities
Our accessibility work covers long question stems, answer options, feedback, explanations, tables, diagrams, progress, scores, saved answers and responsive layouts.
Selected, correct, incorrect, completed and disabled states must not rely on colour alone. Dynamic status changes should be announced appropriately without repeated disruptive output.
Timers, cooldowns, session timeouts and fixed access expiry are different controls. Ordinary study should offer an untimed route unless timing is genuinely essential. Any examination simulation is optional and is not the official SQE.
Where accessibility standards or reasonable-adjustment duties require it, a time limit should be removable, adjustable or extendable through an accessible warning and control. Timeout or network failure should provide clear warning and preserve or recover saved work where reasonably practicable.
Media and documents
Where media or downloadable documents are provided:
- Prerecorded speech video has accurate synchronised captions where applicable.
- Prerecorded audio has an appropriate transcript.
- Material visual information has an effective alternative.
- The player is keyboard and screen-reader operable.
- Required information prefers accessible HTML.
- PDFs and editable documents have appropriate structure, reading order, language, alternatives and tables.
- An accessible alternative is available without an adjustment charge where required.
A scanned image-only document is not used as the sole source of information needed to buy, access, cancel or complain.
Browsers and assistive technologies
We do not claim support for a browser, operating-system or assistive-technology combination unless the relevant version, settings, journeys, test date, findings and known limitations are recorded.
Representative coverage includes current Windows, macOS, iOS and Android browsers; NVDA, Narrator, VoiceOver and TalkBack; keyboard-only and speech input; browser zoom; forced-colour; reduced-motion; and mobile assistive-technology testing.
A compatibility claim does not outlive the build or versions tested.
Privacy when handling accessibility requests
Stanislav Lynnyk, a sole trader trading as Vivat Lex asks about functional needs before asking about a diagnosis. Information revealing disability or health may be special-category personal data.
Where such information is necessary, we apply an appropriate lawful basis and Article 9 condition, provide relevant privacy information, use an appropriate secure route and access restrictions, retain it only as justified and assess whether a data-protection impact assessment is required.
Special-category information is not placed in an unrestricted defect tracker or sent through an informal messaging channel.
Legal scope
For services supplied in England, Scotland and Wales, the Equality Act 2010 service-provider and reasonable-adjustment framework may apply. Northern Ireland has a separate disability-discrimination regime and requires separate consideration if the service is enabled there.
WCAG is a technical benchmark, not a substitute for legal duties. Technical conformance would not remove the need to consider an effective individual adjustment.
Before targeting an EU or EEA country, we assess the European Accessibility Act, national implementation, any fact-dependent microenterprise position, local consumer law and language requirements.
Preparation and review of this statement
This statement was prepared from the Vivat Lex Web accessibility review dated 25 August 2026. It does not claim a complete production-wide audit, disabled-user testing, certification or an exhaustive known-issues list.
We review it before public launch, after a material provider, design or content change, and when testing, customer reports or operational evidence identifies a material change. Any newly stated compatibility or limitation is tied to the build and evidence assessed.
Version and effective date
- Document version
- 2026-09-12.5
- Effective and last reviewed
- 12 September 2026
The version accepted at checkout is recorded with the order and forms part of the customer's durable confirmation. A later publication does not retrospectively replace that accepted version or reduce any mandatory consumer right.
