Website and product scope

  • Product: Vivat Lex SQE1 Web Course, supplied through the standalone Vivat Lex website only.
  • Price: £399 GBP. Provider-calculated transaction tax, if any, is included in that amount. The hosted checkout displays the final payable amount, currency and tax breakdown before payment.
  • VAT status: Vivat Lex is not registered for UK VAT. Vivat Lex does not add or itemise UK VAT and does not issue a Vivat Lex VAT invoice. No VAT classification beyond that registration status is asserted.
  • Payment model: one payment, with no subscription or automatic renewal.
  • Access period: access includes the whole of 28 February 2027, UK time, and ends at midnight as 1 March 2027 begins.
  • Platform boundary: the purchase supplies standalone website access and does not include or unlock the separate iOS or Android products.

For a Managed Payments order, Vivat Lex supplies the digital course and remains responsible for product access, product support, conformity and the consumer remedies owed by Vivat Lex. Managed Payments identifies the customer-facing transaction as “Sold through Link”; Link is the merchant of record for the Managed Payments transaction. Stripe Managed Payments provides the hosted payment flow and the applicable transaction-level tax, receipt or invoice, fraud, dispute and transaction-support functions.

Separate web, iOS and Android products

Vivat Lex Web, the Vivat Lex iOS product and the Vivat Lex Android product are separate products and separate contracts.

  • They have separate accounts and authentication boundaries.
  • They have separate purchases and payment records.
  • They have separate access periods and entitlements.
  • They have separate learning progress, answers, scores and statistics.
  • They have separate cancellation, refund and chargeback handling.

A purchase or account for one product does not unlock, transfer to, merge with or synchronise with another product. No future single sign-on, account linking, progress migration, shared purchase or cross-unlock is promised.

Independent preparation provider

Vivat Lex is an independent study-preparation provider. It is not the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Kaplan SQE or Pearson VUE and is not affiliated with, connected with, approved, accredited or endorsed by them.

  • Vivat Lex does not register a candidate for the SQE.
  • Vivat Lex does not book or administer an SQE assessment.
  • Vivat Lex does not reserve an assessment place or test centre.
  • Vivat Lex does not decide assessment or admission eligibility.
  • Vivat Lex does not collect official assessment fees on behalf of those organisations.
  • Vivat Lex does not guarantee a sitting, score, pass, qualification, admission, employment or earnings.

Customers remain responsible for checking and complying with current official registration, booking, assessment and admission requirements.

SQE names, trade marks and official material

Payments, providers and countries

Vivat Lex
The course provider and product-support contact under the Vivat Lex Web terms. Vivat Lex supplies the course, controls access, provides product-level support and answers for its product and access obligations.
Sold through Link
Link is the merchant of record for the Managed Payments transaction. Stripe Managed Payments provides the hosted-payment service and handles payment processing, applicable indirect-tax functions, transaction receipts or invoices, fraud, disputes, refunds and transaction-level support.
Other service providers
Authentication, hosting, anti-bot, communications and error-monitoring providers process only the functions described in the Privacy and Cookie Policies; they do not supply the SQE1 course.

If the hosted checkout offers a local-currency option, choosing it may include Stripe's 2–4% currency-conversion markup. You can choose the £399 GBP option instead without that Stripe conversion markup. Your bank, card issuer or payment-method provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees. The checkout shows the final amount and currency before payment.

The merchant-of-record payment role does not remove any mandatory product right or remedy the customer has in relation to the Vivat Lex digital course.
